COMPUTEX 2026 - Archie Demo

Hello! We are P-1 AI and we are building Archie, an AI mechanical and electrical engineer, initially for data centers. Archie has human-level quantitative intuition over the product domain and is able to use complex engineering tools, just like his human colleagues. This Archie demo shows a workflow representative of P-1 AI’s work with Daikin Applied Americas, a leading data center cooling provider. Archie performs the full spectrum of tasks expected of a junior engineer: requirements synthesis, component selection, design trade studies, production of various design artifacts, and a power systems study with associated artifacts. Along the way, Archie uses the same engineering tools as his human colleagues, including PLM, Sharepoint, Solidworks, Excel, AutoCAD Electrical, and vapor cycle and power system analysis software. Archie completes the end-to-end workflow in this demo in 23 minutes, compared with roughly 7-10 working days for a human engineer, producing work products ready for human engineering review.

In building Archie, we strongly emphasize his anthropomorphic form factor, which minimizes change management for our customers——just treat him like an outsourced junior engineer joining the team. Archie will follow existing processes, use existing tools, and fit directly into engineering workflows. The only difference is that he is happy to take on the repetitive, time-consuming work and work three shifts—freeing his human colleagues to focus on systems thinking, product architecture, innovation, and customer engagement. Our goal is to help industrial OEMs scale engineering bandwidth and overcome acute talent shortage, while providing significant workforce flexibility. We aim to put an Archie on every team at every industrial company. We plan to expand from data center cooling and critical power systems to automotive and aerospace & defense later this year.
